Jaipur. On a crisp December evening, the Pink City transformed into a canvas of cultural splendor as “Colors of India” unfolded at the luxurious Hotel Royal Orchid. Presented by Forever Star India, this pre-finale event served as an electrifying prelude to the Mrs. Universe and Mrs. India grand finales. More than a fashion showcase, it was a heartfelt homage to India’s rich tapestry of traditions, proving that ethnic wear, when reimagined with modern elegance, can rival any international runway.

The spotlight belonged to the participants, each representing their state with pride. The ramp came alive with a breathtaking array of regional craftsmanship: Rajasthan’s intricate block prints and shimmering Gota-Patti work, the opulent silks from the South, and Bengal’s ethereal Tant sarees. Designers and stylists infused these timeless pieces with contemporary silhouettes and subtle innovations—think asymmetrical drapes, bold color pairings, and fresh accessorizing—highlighting how deeply rooted Indian fabrics remain versatile in today’s fashion landscape.

Jewelry added layers of luxury and storytelling. Jury members Anshu Agarwal from Next Generation Gold Jewelry and Raunak Agarwal from Jodi Jewelry lent their expert eye to the proceedings. Contestants wore heirloom gold alongside contemporary pieces, creating looks that seamlessly bridge heritage and trend. These combinations are already sparking conversations about wedding-season style. Adding to the glow was Ranjeet Singh Rajawat of SR Cosmetic World, whose skincare expertise ensured every model stepped onto the ramp with radiant, natural confidence.

The choreography elevated the show to a cinematic level. Internationally acclaimed choreographer Shay Lobo, working alongside Uttam Bhagat and Vinu Mishra, delivered a polished performance. Every walk, turn, and pose flowed in perfect harmony with the music and lighting, turning the runway into a dynamic visual narrative that captivated the audience from start to finish.

Speaking about the vision behind the event, Founder Rajesh Agarwal and Director Jaya Chauhan emphasized its deeper purpose. “Fashion is more than clothing—it’s a celebration of our cultural identity,” they shared. Their goal was clear: to position Indian ethnic wear as a symbol of pride and creativity. The evening succeeded beautifully, building anticipation for the grand finales set to take place on December 21 at Zee Studio, Jaipur.

In an era where global trends often overshadow local heritage, “Colors of India” stood as a refreshing reminder of the strength and beauty of our roots. By honoring tradition while embracing innovation, the event has set a new benchmark for how India’s diverse fashion can shine on the world stage. As the Pink City gears up for the main event, the energy from this unforgettable prelude promises a spectacular finale.
